Maintaining and Preserving Tiffin Township Cemeteries

The Adams County Genealogy Society(ACGS) maintains a the Heritage Center in West Union a list of both public and private cemeteries as well as a Tiffin Township Cemetery Book listing interments, location of cemeteries and cemetery condition. You can help maintenance and preservation by:

  • Brushing the monument to remove loose grass or using water and a soft brush to remove surface soiling. It improves the appearance of the monument, helps preserve its surface, and honors the individual buried beneath the monument. If the monument is stained by lichen or other organic elements, you may use Biological Solutions D/2 as needed. You should NOT use wire brushes, mechanical tools, or household chemicals on the monuments.
  • Removing spent flowers or decorations form the cemetery grounds
  • Reporting any grounds maintenance issues to any Trustee or Brian Grooms (Tiffin Township Maintenance Supervisor) 937-544-7454
